Get ready to celebrate your child’s musical journey at the 18th Annual Note-worthy Experiences Winter Holiday Recital! This isn’t just a performance; it’s a cherished tradition and the culmination of months of hard work and dedication. Our yearly recital gives every student a chance to shine, build confidence, and share their passion with family and friends. Join us for a festive celebration that brings our entire musical community together to honor the incredible talent and accomplishments of your children. Join us as we create new memories and celebrate the holidays with the gift of music!
There will be 4 practice rooms for students to warm-up in prior to their performance.
There will not be a paper program. Guests may follow our program on our slideshow or on their smartphone or tablet. Please note the venue does not have guest wifi available.
There will be a brief awards ceremony following each recital. Guests and performers are expected to be present for their entire assigned recital and the awards ceremony. (The awards ceremony is often the favorite part for our students.)
Students will be seated with the other performers in order of their performances and asked to prepare from their seats to take the stage area quietly. If a student needs to warm up or tune, they can do so in practice rooms 27 or 28. Students should practice this 3-4 times ahead of their performance and be ready when the student before them is playing.
We kindly request that students arrive 15 minutes before their scheduled recital time and check in with Renee or Nancy (Renee’s mother). Students and families are welcome to attend additional recitals to support their friends.
Note-worthy students who are not performing are highly encouraged to attend to support their peer musicians.
The studio and the facility will provide a concert Steinway piano, drum set, music stands, amplifier, Bluetooth speaker, microphone, and stand. Performers should bring their own music, drumsticks, and instruments (if applicable). If a student requires an accompanist, Renee must be notified before October 15th. If a student needs a backtrack, please contact Renee by December 1st to make arrangements.
Photo opportunities are available around the lovely, picturesque grounds. We will also have a photo opportunity area with props set up.
Photography and videography are highly encouraged during each recital. Please tag Note-worthy Experiences Music Studio on social media posts. Please note that the recital hall features theater-style seating, so parents will not be able to move to the front row while their child is performing.
The attire for performers is their holiday best. The suggested attire for guests is holiday festive.
To participate, a non-refundable registration fee of $55 per student applies, with a family maximum of $110. This fee is due by October 15th. We’re happy to share that there is no ticket fee—performers are welcome to invite as many family members and friends as they’d like! Registrations submitted after October 15th will incur a $15 late fee, and students will only be added if space is available. Renee will assign students to a recital based on instructor groupings. If you have a scheduling request due to religious reasons, please email Renee by October 15th so we can do our best to accommodate you. Recital assignments will be sent out via Constant Contact on or before October 31st, and a link to the Recital Assignment Sheet will also be posted above. If a change is needed after assignments are published, we’ll do our best to help, but a $15 change fee per performer will apply (if the adjustment can be made).
Song titles are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Students are limited to performing a total of two pieces, unless they study with three or more separate instructors. Total performance time per student should not exceed 6 minutes. Students may perform two holiday pieces if they wish. Songs should be family-friendly. Songs with explicit lyrics and suggestive themes are not permitted.
Duet and small group performances are encouraged.

Follow the orange line on the map to get the parking lot entrance (which is the 100 Pratt Lane) and there will be attendants to guide you. Once you park, please follow the green line to the green star, which will bring you to the entrance to the Rachel Carson Center Recital Hall.
Please use 196 Middlesex School Rd, Concord, MA, 01742 in your GPS – (DO NOT select Middlesex School). Follow the orange line on the map to get the parking lot entrance (which is the 196 Middlesex School Rd) and there will be attendants to guide you. Once you park, please follow the green line to the green star, which will bring you to the entrance to the Rachel Carson Center Recital Hall.
**If you require special handicap accommodations, the parking attendants will have some spaces reserved up close to the entrance. Please note – these spots are extremely limited and on a first-come-first-serve basis.**
