Teaching Philosophy
“I try to create a personal connection with all my students because I believe that students learn better from someone they trust. As a young teacher, I am easy to relate to for most students. As we establish a connection, I try to figure out what learning style inspires them to grow as a musician and pianist, and what types of exercises work best for them. I’ve found that encouraging students and creating a positive teaching environment is what motivates them most, and inspires them to love the music as well.”
Biography
Lucas Kamon is from Concord, MA, and graduated from Concord Carlisle High School in 2022. In 2026, he completed a Bachelor of Music (BM) in Piano Performance at the University of New Hampshire, where he won the annual UNH concerto competition in his senior year. He taught piano lessons there for 4 years through the UNH Piano Extension Program, working with students of all levels and ages. He started some of his students on their first lessons, while with others he worked on complex classical piano literature. Lucas also enjoys performing for all kinds of audiences. He has given over 200 performances throughout New England at retirement homes, churches, libraries, and private house concerts.
Lucas began teaching in 2022 and joined Note-worthy Experiences in June 2026.
