Teaching Philosophy
“My approach to teaching is focused on enjoyment of both the instrument and music at large. Fostering a love and appreciation for our instrument is a crucial aspect of horn playing and teaching for me. This forms a balance with the student’s own goals - we can work to improve or achieve without losing the fun of playing the horn. My teaching, like my playing, is grounded in basic fundamental work to build the student’s playing ability across the board.”
Biography
Brianna is an active performer and teacher in the Boston area and beyond. She currently serves as the 4th Horn of the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra. Brianna has also performed with the Portland Symphony Orchestra, the Bangor Symphony Orchestra, the Springfield Symphony Orchestra, and other ensembles across Massachusetts.
Brianna serves as the horn instructor in the Natick school district. Her studio includes students ranging from 4th to 12th grades, and she enjoys working with a variety of age and experience levels in her teaching.
Brianna graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree from Boston University before proceeding on to receive a Master of Music degree from the New England Conservatory. Her primary teachers have included Michael Winter and Eric Ruske.
Brianna began teaching in 2021 and joined Note-worthy Experiences in July 2026.
