Join us for a hands-on introduction to the Alexander Technique (AT). The AT offers a means whereby we can change our habits and learn to use our bodies more efficiently. Renowned in the performing arts world for its applicability to acting, dancing and playing music, it is taught in most major conservatories including Juilliard, Manhattan School of Music, and New England Conservatory. The workshop, taught by AmSAT certified teacher Alexander Korte, will consist of a presentation introducing AT fundamentals, followed by a hands-on demonstration. By the end, participants will be familiar with AT principles and understand what the practice entails. The workshop will run for approximately 90 minutes, with a short break halfway through. No special attire required. We welcome both current students, non-students, adults, and parents. Recommended for ages 12+.
When: Friday, September 18, 2026 from 7-8:30pm
